Growlmama loves Rio #15
When my Baby smiles at me I go to Rio 2016...eventually
If Growlmama was an Olympian, we'd be Eric the Eel...a little late to the finish line we bring you - Growlmama Loves #Rio2016!
And how could we not?! With Rio rehoming it's favela dogs to make way for stadiums (to good homes we hear), the US swim team bringing in therapy dogs to relax its champs, and a giant dog-covered ping pong table erected on the Olympic site, its clear that a) Rio loves dogs and b) that despite the "sportswash" of the past week and a half we aren't the only crazy people with dogs still on the brain.
So, here it is: Growlmama Loves #15 - Our Top 5 for Sportshounds. It's our shortest and sweetest Growlmama Loves to date (so you can hotfoot it back to the box and we can get back to the beach!).

1. Tim Meakins feat. POPP
You know we love dogs and art. We also love our fellow Aussies, especially when they do cool stuff. This public ping pong table was designed and built for Rio 2016 by Perth-based designer/illustrator Tim Meakins in collab. with Australia's Public Outdoor Ping Pong aka POPP. Cute enough to draw you momentarily from the members box to show the rest of the world how to smash it. Watch the video about its making here.
2. The other Opening Ceremony x Local Supply
Australia may not be top of the medal tally this week but they are leading in the design-stakes. Aussie sunglass brand Local Supply (first brought to your attention in Growlmama Loves #10) have teamed up with New York's Opening Ceremony to create a limited edition range of Rio 2016 shades. Cheap enough to shop in every Olympic hue. Wrap up a pair online before they run out. Literally.
4. Gold medal-winning humour
Coming in at number 4. Rupert Fawcett's series of canine cartoons, "Off the Leash" make us laugh anytime of the year. Funny dog stuff for the most cynical Growlmama.
